Review: Foundations!

If you're looking for a great foundation but don't want to overspend on super high end labels, then here are two great options for you! Laura Mercier & Make Up For Ever. They have excellent shades that are perfect for Middle Eastern & South Asian skin tones.

MUFE's line Mat Velvet has great coverage, medium to full. The texture is very smooth and I don't find my skin looking shiny or discolored hours later. If you have oily skin, this is the best option (if not then try the HD line). Choose a shade that is the exact match to your skin or slightly lighter, the foundation will blend and go on a tad darker. It's retailed at $36 and widely available at Sephora stores or online.

MAKE UP FOR EVER - Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation

Laura Mercier's line of Silk Creme is probably the highest coverage you're going to find at that price. It comes in a tube and can be easily applied with a brush or sponge. It smooths over your face quickly and gives you a glowy, soft texture. This is one of my favorite products I ever tried. The only downfall is that it's a little shiny for my oily skin. But it's long wearing and I love the full coverage. It's retailed at $43 and also available at Sephora stores & online.

Laura Mercier - Silk Creme Foundation

It's often hard to match our skin tones with the perfect foundation shade. I find MUFE & Laura Mercier have excellent colors for our skin. Def give either one a try if you're still looking for a foundation!
