FFF: Needlez By Samya

Designer Samya's collection presented the basic styles & cuts from Pakistan. I'm afraid to go a little hard on this one, but I found the pieces outdated. The colors were definitely pretty though. Here are a few that we'd like to share:

FFF: Nisaa Boutique

From London, the first designer of the night was Nisaa Boutique. Some of the prettiest kaftans we've seen so far! Always been a fan of flowy outfits with some extra flare and these pieces hit it right. We picked out our favorite pieces from the collection below:

Priyanka Chopra in Fahad Hussayn

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is the brand ambassador for Pakistani designer Fahad Hussayn's lawn collection as she was featured on the cover of HELLO Pakistan. Print Museum is the desinger's newly launched lawn collection for the very first time. We hope it does well in the world of lawn madness. The lawn season has just taken off, will you be hunting these down at the next exhibition?

Azeeza Khan of AZZA

Azeeza Khan is the creative director at AZZA, an uprising American-based women's wear label. With South Asian background, her creative work reflects the influences of her heritage. Azeeza is a Chicago native but her pieces are designed with embellishments and fabrics from Italy and India. Her label is relatively young and has received much acclaim within the fashion industry since it launched in 2011. Her looks are found on the red carpet worn by celebrities and her work has been praised by Vogue. Azeeza's plan is to take the label onto the international level this year in 2013. We admire her work as it reflects eastern asesthetics onto western designs. Here are a few of your picks from her AZZA collection:

Her designs are the perfect fusion that appeals to the mass market. From her fabrics to cuts, embellishments to colors, each piece of hers is classy and exotic. She's the first choice for many of Pakistan's elite including Sharmeen Obaid at the Oscar's. Prabal Gurung at Target

On Feb 10th, designer Prabal Gurung launched a new collection at Target stores. After the success of Missoni & the flop of Neiman Marcus collections for Target, Gurung partnered up with the superstores to launch a line that is highly affordable for the masses. Some stores have reported being sold out of the collection in just two days. I personally am not a fan of high fashion designers pursuing the mass market to sell their products as it defeats the purpose of their image. Nevertheless, it is an interesting collaboration.

The collection on the Target website allows customers to view different pieces styled together for a trendy outfit. Most pieces range from $15-$40 and this includes dresses to shoes, skirts to clutches. A very colorful collection setting the right mood for Spring. Make sure to check it out the next time you're picking up your home amenities!
